We use Peterg green marine products and have found it to be good. It's around $20 for a litre bottle that lasts for 5 uses. You can buy larger bottles that make it more economical.
Some people cannot even spell MSDS let alone know what it means or where to find it.

The reason we started using the "nappi soaker" is because we don't like the "perfume smell" of the commercial loo products, nothing to do with price - but if you use the commercial products, and like them, and could save money buying them from somewhere, wouldn't you do that?
"If you can't afford them you should be still working." - sorry Desert Dweller that is an insulting statement. This is a forum where we don't insult each other.

Yes, I have read the MSDS, and don't allude to me being an idiot. We use a lot of products that aren't exactly safe. (eg petrol, but we still use it) With napisan my recollection of it's usage instructions was to scrape off the "poos" into the toilet then soak the nappy in napisan to bleach and sanitise. It's not a product to made to do what the Peterg or Thetford are designed for. ie Break down solids and sanitise them

Just don't empty your porta potty in a septic system or any system that relies in a bio-system of some type.

Papou - no odour - and if you are travelling and get odours from the loo - another small amount will fix that in no time flat. (we are in a motorhome- so we can smell the loo as we travel, and the "product" swirls around, breaking down with the nappy soaker) - we found the smell of the commercial products were overpowering, not nice when you are eating in the motorhome.

Not insulting, simply insensitive and lacking insight and/or compassion.
Have you actually read the MSDS?

No thank you....
Cheers,

Regardless, the comment was unnecessary.
