When purchasing our seconhand van we were told there is no warranty but if something needs fixing "they will help out". What the heck does that mean? Under australian law did i have a warranty after all? Keep us all informed please, this is a "must see post." Cheers rocket n strop

I just got off the phone with SunLiner. Their reply to my request for "all the info" was that they don't have any, at least not on their web site. They suggested I ask one of their dealers for paper documents. WTF! I can download a PDF instruction manual for a $10 toaster, but I can't get one for a $160K motorhome? I had the same problem trying to find a PDF owner's guide for my father's new Holden. General Motors in the USA have something, but GMH has absolutely nothing. BTW, I'm not referring to sales brochures.

Exactly what we have been saying its the "Old keep them in the Dark and feed them loads of B***SH*T
We will keep all informed but like anything IT ALL TAKES TIME AND MONEY....and I'm not yelling just screaming internally about crooks and no decent governing body.

My suggestion would be to approach one of the TV stations and explain the problem. Try to interest them in an expose of the industry. There must be thousands of cases like yours. I can tell you from firsthand experience that once your problem goes to air, it will be resolved within hours, not weeks or months, especially when the victim is a weeping old lady. In fact in my mother's case the problem was fixed before the program went to air, within hours after a call from the station, and she went on TV the very next day after I contacted the station.

That is a great idea that I will explore as a Current Affair did a program on shonky manufacturers awhile ago.
