Thanks Peter, I have never heard of a green GPO. I thought the way it was being discussed here it may have been a GPO without a earth socket, so you could only use internally earthed appliances. Cheers Pete
The reason I mentioned a "green" GPO was to make sure it would be recognised as a different circuit and supply. In reality I truly believe the inverter should be a totally separated system from the caravan mains sub circuit, if there is a need for RCD and RVD protection so be it, however as long as safety measures are adopted during operation I would be inclined to think AOK.
Once again I admit my lack of full knowledge regarding inverters and their "normal" parameters in use.
From a practical viewpoint I have never had an issue, as I said I have a class 2 electric blanket and the chargers are all class 2.

It is generally considered quite safe from shocks to earth IF you only use class2 Devices
By the way I do hope that green GPO has double pole switching!
