So only discharging your batteries down to 50% will give 37.5% more usable power during the lifetime of a battery compared to discharging down to 20%.
Not my opinion, just cold hard scientific fact, proven not by me, but by the companies that make the batteries.
So what happened to the 90% reduction in life Steve?
And is the graph you posted not correct after all?
You can "prove" anything with random selections from the internet.

Oh Peter... now your just getting sad. I was comparing the reduction of the maximum cycles a battery will tolerate compared to what you can expect if you regularly discharge to 20%. But, you didn't think cycles was relevant, so I switched to using your preferred measure of power delivery.
The only thing 'random' about my data is that I could have used a chart from any battery manufacturer in the world, because for the same class of battery they are all virtually identical.
I'm putting up figures based on information published by the companies that make the batteries we're talking about. All you're giving us is rhetoric.
I can do this little dance with you indefinitely if that's your thing, but at least try to substantiate your position.
Hey Rocky... if we can't educate, the least we can do is entertain
BTW where did you get that humongous bag of popcorn... and how much damage did you manage lol???
I could be wrong, but I think Happywanderer's post was tongue in cheek. I don't think anyone could have thought this a great thread as it went south pretty quickly, and the topic is technical by nature

I wouldn't say Spoiled. lol
I get rather a lot of enjoyment reading the cut & thrust of it all, even though I can't understand a lot of the details.
Just waiting to see who cracks first & begins the inevitable personal attacks.
Almost as much fun as watching Parliament.
I try to just ask questions, read posts & not offer opinions on Technical issues.

I'm waiting for the calling of "seconds" as one challengers the other to a dual.
