with that history you would have known a gunny - Dave Lamb. We both got in the sh** for raising money for the Aussie rules team at Willy by illegal raffles.
Auditors found too many "donations" mostly banked at welfare on Mondays,,,lol they were great days.
Cheers Baz

The name rings a bell Baz, but to be honest, my memory is crap these days lol. Remeber all the sections had their own small business selling everything from drinks, hot dogs, dim sims, smokes, chockies, then AFCANS cracked the poos over it, reckoned we were doing them out of business.

Yes, ASCO was what they were called back then too I think. I remember this cute young blonde that worked in the Laverton ASCO when I was there in the 70's ;)

Baz,
That gunny was probably "Shaky" Dave Lamb who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Thanks Grevo. Yep Dave was good guy, and unfortunately alcohol took it's toll. We had some great days at Willy in early 70's, aussie rules etc etc.
Another mate of mine was 6' 5" tall and an ex woodcutter in Tassie - he went to the RAAF doc and was asked how many beers do you drink??? He said 10-12 pints and the doc said Ok that's not too bad in a week. Mate said hwat week that's each day,,, doc nearly fell over apparently.
Cheers Baz
