Sounds good Mick, expect to be on the Gold Coast towards the end of next month, an alternate to Stott's Island Nature Reserve will come in handy.
Will PM you closer to arrival time. Thanks,
John

Sheba, spoke to Paul and he was setting off for Cooktown but that was a few days ago. Haven't heard from him since.
PJK thanks for the offer. Spent 3 months in Tassie and enjoyed the country but have no plans for a return trip but who knows?

Unfortunately John there are people in this world who are unhappy with their lot in life and can't accept what others have, so they just try and ruin it fir them and others.
Hang in there John, life is to short to be upset by these people.
I look forward to your posts and pics so keep them coming.

You know me better than that Jules, just the same guy who linked up with Billeee back in 2011 before he was stalked across SA.
Set off Monday morning from Giru and currently am parked at Home Hill Comfort Stop having done more shopping and had a hot shower. Sid has arrived and parked next to me, we may travel south together for a while. My plan for tomorrow is to drive 250kms to Boulder Creek, had thought of saving 50kms tomorrow by driving to Guthalungra and camping there tonight but am comfortable here and not moving. Campers are allowed 48hrs here for those interested. John

Hello John,
We have never met but since I have been a member of this forum I have become attached to a few people and always read their comments. I'm especially fond of yourself, Gary Kelly, Happy Wanderer, Jules and Billeeeee and of course Wombat and Dougwe.
I have enjoyed reading your comments and your blog and I hope you will continue to post. Photos are great too. With two pages of comments from all your friends I hope you are feeling the warm glow.

MOLUSCAN - what very nice words - glad to know people like reading our posts, as we enjoy posting - if you had been with the forum while we were in Tasmnaia - you would have loved the forum even more - we were raving about the place!!!!

Thank you Jules.
I have become quite addicted to the Forum, I have just bought the stickers and a pink T shirt. My family laugh at me as I am always quoting what a GN has said. It's a great site and you are all such happy people. We don't travel for long periods, 2 - 3 weeks at a time as my husband worries about leaving the house and we feel we are imposing on family to feed the cats and collect mail. I would love to take off and not have a deadline to return, just take our time and see where it leads us.
Off to 1770 next week. Have to be home by mid Sep for a wedding. Once again a deadline cuts short another trip.

Hi Margaret - travelling without a time limit is great, in my opinion, or else I suppose I wouldn't do it, eh?
Did you see the pink shirt and the hat in the fashion magazine ?
Looks like I need to buy a cap! Who are the lovely models?

John, you know that Sue and I rarely comment but we do read your ( and of course others that we have met) blogs and advice and fully appreciate all that you post as it has, to date, been great advice and also has helped us to keep tabs on your many Journeys etc. During my recent convalescence your blogs inspired me so that I am ready to face travelling again and look forward to seeing you and sharing some Tokay/Muscat in the near future.
Please do NOT stop posting as I and others look so forward to reading and sharing your adventures.

Hi Margaret and all the others who post encouraging comments, I will be passing 1770 within the month and will pm you to see if you still are there or nearby, it would be good to catch up.
SaGday I hope that you keep your name still on the new van, perhaps it was that name that caused Jules to link up with you down the Midland Highway before turning into Greens.
