Actually, hoping their might be a MacDonalds or Subway there somewhere!
I would be inclined to have something in the fridge just in case they have closed down.

HW, make sure you do the river cruise at Geike Gorge at FC, 18 kms north or town on a bitumen road. Not to be missed.
If you can't afford the cruise you can do a walk from the carpark along the gorge as well, toilets at the Gorge and info at the FC Tourist Info Centre or the Resort Caravan Park east of town over the bridge (or before the bridge if coming from the east end).
We drove into what I think you called the blood house hotel, parked outside, seemed to be deserted, next thing all these heads started bobbing up in the long grass opposite the entrance.....quick photo of the pub and time to go....

be careful of where you stop in FC, but Colleen would know that.
