I've been thinking overnight of all the wonderful things Rod did for our GNs. He was there for anybody and could fix anything. A man full of knowledge. What a loss. Take your spanners up there dear Rod, they are bound to need something fixing, and you are the best.
That is nice to know the effect he had on all who met him. Myself only a couple of short times, but always good value. The most recent, he spent hours getting rid of a mouse in his van only to discover there was another one. And he just went about it all over again. I was only looking at his posts and pics last week.

yes .. I'd have to agree ..
If someone disliked him, then they didn't know him .. a most unselfish person who thrived on the smile he could put on anothers' face.
He was a Carer to Heather and yet battled is own health problems in recent years .. More recently he was also occupied with the wellness of own son who was battling with his own health ..
He "downsized" his own circumstances as insignificant when it popped up in discussion preferring to move the importance away from his own comfort zone ..
To Rod, any obstacles were not high at all .. but just a bit longer at times to achieve with that dogged determination he had !
I feel most privileged to have known him ..

Hi John
Couldn't have said it better myself - Both Baz and I had so much respect and admiration for him - he gave so much of himself to everyone - nothing was ever too much trouble for Rod.... even if he had only just met you - enriched my sister Heather's life like no words could describe - two peas in a pod - so full of life - just can't believe he's gone - thanks to all who have rallied around for Heather - just goes to show the impact he had on others! A special thankyou to Norma - so glad you are there for her...loved meeting you all and will treasure the memories of Cobb & Co for a long time! Hopefully we may catch up again when Baz is over his chemo and we can hit the road again too! Life is too short....... Love Narelle and Barry

Rob and I are so sorry to hear this sad news Heather. We met you both a couple of years ago at Duaringa. We were going to park our van and Rod came over to say don't Park there, the whirly whirly wind goes thru there and sure enough it did. Then we got chatting cause we both had 1970's Viscount vans! Wish we had met up again, but anyway hope you will be ok. God bless, Rob n Val xx

Only met Rod once at Greens Lake.
I mentioned that I had to go into town to get some water. Rod came straight over and pumped 100 litres of good water into our tanks.
Great bloke. RIP.
Hope you are OK Heather.
