Mark - I agree with what you had to say - we have one moderator - who does a terrific job, keeping this unruly lot in hand - and that is all we need - we are all supposed to be adults, aren't we??
Poor Sheba posted very innocently, and the thread went everywhere but along that line!!! Obviously some have been waiting to say something, but have not had the courage to say something themselves, so hijacked Sheba's post to voice their "opinions". There was no need to resort to vitriol and personal attacks - as Happy Wanderer says - don't sweat the small stuff - and Gerty's - right, there are more important things to worry about in this world!
