Sorry all, I seem to be the catalyst to the discord on this thread. I just re read the thread. I just would like to point out that if I ever I had the chance to run Australia it would be totally different, just like if you had the chance. We, as individuals, will never have the chance.
I am just happy to have a super scheme that is going to pay out, an affordable health fund, my health and the ability to take to the road when I need to.
As far as Revolution goes, the Beatles still do it well!
And to the politicians, may you grow wise and grow up. It would be good to see a parliament full off adults in lieu of the churlish children we have seen in the last 30 or so years.

At least 'misogyny' should not occupy Parliament for the next 8 months. A monument to Tim for that accomplishment. That is not a political comment, just a sigh of relief from the rather poor acting.

I am sorry to say that I may have infused comment on this subject by responding to a post and talking about revolution.
But I do stand by my comments about Australia never being governed by a government unless it has faced a revolution!
It just galls me that what ever government is elected, I just cannot trust.
I would like to add that I really think that Australian Politics died with Whitlam, now days they are just so anal and false!

Peter49, why would "just like breastfeeding at poolside" get out of hand, I think its a great idea and would encourage me to go to the pool more often, there is nothing wrong with a mother feeding her child, IMHO.
Breastfeeding should be allowed wherever a mother is wanting to feed her child and should not be frowned upon, and not forcing the mother to go into a toilet to do that, unless the mother wants to do that.

Hi all, I have decided to close this thread as we have a policy not to allow political discussions on this forum. Experience has taught us that these kinds of topics can turn sour and lead to bad feelings.I tend to let things go a little bit further in the ‘I digress’ section, but I think it’s clear that politics and religion are topics best avoided in all sections. Thanks for your understanding.
