I hope your daughter treats you like you deserve to be treated. Stay warm in the mean time.

And people wonder why I want to go back up the Cape !!! Where I used to live, it'll be High 20's to Low to Mid 30's during the day now. Mind you, it did get down to 4 during the night once.
Gave away all my Winter gear when I went up there.
Cheers,
Sheba.

As long as I get a good report on Myrtle next week and not too many costs involved I should be back on the road real soon. Daughters baby shower 9th July, so can go anytime after that, can't wait.

It's hailing at the moment - and the weather prediction is for something disgusting tomorrow like somewhere less than 10, but I would hate to be in Ballarat even worse.

I am thinking of getting away around the middle of July too and definitely must be warmer than Melbourne.

When I put the towels on the line this morning it was 4 degrees at 10am. Heard on the news today melbourne is experiencing it's coldest winter in 18 years.
Esmerelda maybe a few of us will catchup about the same time. I know shadyandme wants to leave about the same time too.
Jules, travelbug, hoping to get to your area this time, fingers crossed.

That would be great - also hoping to get to your area Jules. Not sure when I can leave as I want to do a Tow Ed course before I go, as I just have to get the reversing thing under control.

At Walla Walla just north of Albury today it didn't quite reach double figures.

Must be mad but having never seen snow we are going up to Mt Hotham on Sunday.
Cheers,

We are spending the long weekend at Walkamin near Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands. Should be a chilly 24 degrees or so up there. Going to the markets and meet up with Jonathon who is camped at Mareeba.
Better take my woolie underwear.

Dont you just feel for the poor people of Darwin! It got down to 9 degrees overnight last week, 30 in the day, but everywhere we went, people were saying how cold its been!
Coming from Canberra we enjoyed those cooler nights. Now heading out towards Kakadu its very humid, finding it a bit uncomfortable in the caravan, but cant sit outside after dark for the swarms of biteys. Just never satisfied!
