Carnavon Gorge was wet and miserable. Rained all day yesterday and didn't look like letting up today. We gave up and left and are now in Mitchell. Still light drizzle and cool.
Anyone heading north through Roma, Emarald to Charters Towersbe warned - lots of roadworks and stoppages.
Ahh Mitchell! Lot's of rellies in that area. They'll be appreciating the rain.

There is this big bright thing up in the sky, someone reminded me it is called the SUN. It has been that long I had forgotten. I hope it stays around for a while, it might warm the ageing bones. 0.01 at the moment though here in Wonthaggi, Vic.

12 degrees in Logan at the moment. Been raining all night and still going. It's supposed to get to 18 today, but I doubt it will.

Yep, sick of cold grey days in Canberra too.
However I used to have a friend who knew he didnt have long to live, and he enjoyed getting outside, said the cold reminded him he was alive. I always think of him on days like this.... perhaps we should appreciate whatever comes.

Well, the south coast is not so bad after all then.....at least it is sunny and we have no rain. But a cool 6C outside tonight. Ah well, we had to come home eventually so we'll just have to learn to like it. And yes, it means we're alive.

Hope Bris improves by Sat. We are getting on train at Townsville this afternoon to head home for son's wedding Sat at Glass House. It has not even been sunny QLD up here since last Friday! Sooner we get up the cape the better- Leaving Mossman on 5th.

Was going to use a trailer to pick up 50sqM of tiles but the rain put the kybosh on that.
Delivery fee $60.
