The rain would have been further south around Atherton or Malanda. It seems to rain at Malanda any time of year.

Yesterday it blew its bum off and blew dust in preparation for the cold and wet of today. Winter has arrived in SA. The dust has stopped now. Brrrrr.

The rains and light wind moved in early evening .. rain is light but consistant .. forcast is for increased wind speed .. all ongoing for now as the low is moving much slower than anticipated

well its been around 17 here in the shoalhaven during the day but the gusty winds are like an airconditioner set to freezing ...
and at night drops down to around 6 degrees..
I hate rugging up, and why is it i can be all ruged up and some one else
is walking around in shorts and tshirt... drives me nuts

We may have recorded 2 mils at the Rodeo Grounds since sunset .. Currently gentle rain, wind-free at the moment ..
Something I've noticed about Mareeba in the last few years is how it seems to miss out on a lot of the local rains .. Atherton area seems to get drenched compared to Mareeba !
Hope I haven't spoken too soon .. but its one reason I like being here !

You're right on that Jon, and Malanda gets even more than Atherton. Hence why it's so green and lush around there. It's cold in Malanda too. Lesley's had the fire going for awhile.
