I hope it goes well Doug. I was on a plane once when there were storms about. Boy was I sick. It was like a roller coaster ride, with the plane dropping now and then. While some young ones up the back of the plane were squealing with delight, I was chucking in the bag.

Another hot day in Biggenden. Am looking forward to it cooling down sometime soon. This heat and humidity takes some getting used to. Not normally up here this early in the season.

Not usually still this hot at this time of year Marj. I went out in jeans and 3/4 sleeves today. Should have still been in shorts and Tshirt, me thinks!
Currently 27.6in Cornubia Qld.

Today in Parachilna, South Australia, I think autumn has arrived, temp around mid 20s, sun was shining, but the flies are still buzzing.
I haven't seen you post for a while Dunmowin. Good to see you're out there seeing some country!
Thanks Beth, living here at para is a bit awkward to get on the internet. Have to go to the pub every night just to read emails. if pub is busy, don't spend too long there

Perfect here in Cairns although I had to put a shirt on this morning, a sure sign of temps dropping below the 30c mark.

Know how you feel Doug, takes a bit of getting used to doesn't it. Has knocked me around too, tired all the time.

I feel for you Marj and Doug. It can be very draining, even for this born and bred Qlder.

Draining is a very good word Beth. I feel the heat every time I come up here but this time I know I am "Drained"

I went through in July last year. Camped in a cousin's very large backyard. ONLY time of the year to visit FNQ or the Top End of NT, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, I know, it's not always possible to choose your time.

I don't think my granddaughter would have liked it if I came up in July for her birthday Beth' her birthday is now not only that I wanted to see my new one month old grandson, I couldn't wait any longer. I suffer from no grandchildren cuddle syndrome.
It's been HOT again here. There, back on topic.

It's cold, wet and miserable here in Melbourne on this Anzac day. Nice day to stay warm and remember those who gave up so much for us

That's right Doug, you didn't have a choice.
Still overcast and grey looking, but not raining at least. 25 expected today.

Very nice here in Townsville this morning but I'm sure it will heat up soon. Once that sun pokes it head out from behind some cloud, wamo. Still, nice for all the Anzac Day Activities in Town.
Better than Melbourne at present and down town Wonthaggi is colder and wetter.

That is one aspect of Melbourne I really don't miss. It would be a good time to be sitting in front of an open fire.

Did you guys in the south have to send it up here?!
It's turned chilly, currently 19, heading for an overnight of 11. Time to dig out the dressing gown and slippers.

Has cooled over a bit here this afternoon, was really muggy early in the day but that seems to have gone too. Might be able to get out in the garden tomorrow without melting.
