At the moment we are in Noumea, New Caledonia. Mid to high 20s with high teens overnight. Bloody magnificent.

Farm sitting north of Mackay Qld.  weather has got cooler, it is only 29degrees during the day and around 16degrees at night.

Sunshine breaking through the mist each dawn is wonderful and sunrise is unique and lovely.

Cane as far as the eye can see.  When the owner come back from their trip, I will be heading to NSW and that will be a shock to my system. lol

Love OZ, dont really care if it is hot or cold.

Lucky you Lanock, we are farm sitting near Bright in NE Victoria. Max today was 5 degrees, snowed nearby...What fun...

Here in Perth the wind is blowing, it's raining and dark skies are threatening to drop a load of more rain any moment,

present temp is a cool 15 deg, we hope is reaches 18 deg today,

Going by B.O.M. there is a double weather front approaching the City,

WA storm cuts power, hits homes and washes yachts ashore as big cold front looms near Perth....

Loose yachts were tossed against a concrete barrier at the Bunbury Yacht Club.

We hope that all Caravanners on the way North have found safe shelter, wouldn't like to be out in it today, or any time in the next week........

Get the umbrellas ready Perth is set for a weekend of wet weather.

Sat 9th June....

A complex storm front on Saturday night and into Sunday will drench the state with up to 50 millimetres of rainfall, possible thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching 90 kilometres per hour.

Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster James Ashley said the storm front would cause Perth to hit the halfway mark for the average June rainfall of 173 millimetres in just two days.

"We're going to have a pretty rainy period Saturday night until about lunchtime on Sunday," he said.

"About 1:00pm, the wet weather will pass and it will clear up. But between 7:00 tonight and 1:00 tomorrow afternoon, the Perth area is likely to see falls of 20 to 50 millimetres or more with the passage of that system.

"I'd expect coastal parts of the metropolitan area will see winds of up to 80km an hour easing as they get further inland."

9 degrees and 20 mls in gauge with lots more to come according to the radar. A string of 10 deg's over next few days with snow predicted by the weekend. Adding a 3rd layer of clothing. Air con. doing it's job nicely. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else thanks.

Here in Perth, we've woken to a fine day ( at long last )  clear blue skies but still rather cool at only 11.5 C but expecting a top of 19 C

tomorrow ( Friday and Saturday ) promises to be even better, with forecasts of 20 & 21 deg, 

but come Sunday, it's back to wet conditions,  well it is Winter and we need the rain !!!

Frost blankets central and eastern Australia....

Parts of Queensland experienced their lowest temperature in more than a decade on Tuesday morning as frost blanketed central and eastern Australia.

A combination of clear skies, light winds and a lingering mass of cold air caused temperatures to plummet across the eastern half of Australia during Monday night.

By the early hours of Tuesday, some places were shivering through their coldest morning in years.

In Queensland, Townsville dipped to 6.3 degrees shortly before 7am, making this its coldest start in 10 years. Further south, 3.5 degrees at Ayr was its lowest temperature since 2004.

Ice was also covering the Red Centre as the sun rose this morning, with Alice Springs hitting minus 3.7 degrees for the first time in two years. Across the border in SA, Moomba's minus 0.3 degrees was its first morning below zero in seven years. In western NSW, Tibooburra had its coldest morning in six years after hitting 1.4 degrees.

Melbourne and Canberra tied for the coldest capital city in Australia this morning, both dipping to three degrees. For Melbourne, this was the coldest morning since last winter.

The weather today on the river near Bairnsdale was cold this morning,but lovely in the afternoon.

Did some work on the jetty, but is was so nice knocked off for a fish,might do the same tomorrow.

Not going away this Winter to much work to catch up on.

Brrrr... negative 3 degrees this morning - at least that is what Weatherzone said for Wangaratta. Here in Bright/Porpunkah, I am sure it was closer to -5 when we peeked out of the curtain at 7.45 am.

Mt Hotham, Bogong and Feathertop are looking spectacular dressed in snow.

I feel sorry for those of you still in South East Queensland. I use to shiver through negatives going to work from Jimboomba in another world. Now I can just sleep through it until the sun surfaces above the fog and the frost burns off.

Perth's overnight rainfall makes it the wettest June in five years, but it's still below average....

Hi guys, have seen some idiots in my  trip on the 'big loop road' too, but was told about an incident at the Birdsville races one year when the 'rain came down'.  Apparently the Police closed the roads in & out at one point.   The word around got around that any driver who disregarded this advise and managed to bog themselves, it would cost them $1,000 per tyre ( including caravan tyres) to be rescued!                THAT SURE GOT EVERYONE'S ATTENTION!!!  Common sense comes at a price sometimes hey!    Gwynnie 

Complex frontal system about to drench the WA coast, again....

Mon 2/7/18

A cold front, low and trough currently traversing the Indian and Southern oceans will arrive at the WA coast overnight, and this front is soaking up a lot of moisture on its journey. By midnight Tuesday, some parts of the coast between Denham and Albany may have collected well over 50mm in the rain gauge.

The system as a whole is expected to generate powerful winds as it crosses southern WA. Damaging gusts greater than 90km/h are a high risk from very late Sunday all the way through to Thursday.

By Thursday, as the system has moved away to the east, parts of southwestern WA may have picked up 60-90mm of rain. Some of this will fall as heavy rain and showers, possibly leading to flash flooding.

If you happen to be travelling at the moment,  Be sure to keep an eye out for severe weather warnings.

Perth, south-west WA brace for damaging winds, rain as severe weather warning issued.....

Wild weather the likes of which is only seen in Western Australia's south-west twice a year is set to hit the state on Wednesday, 25/7,

packing strong gusts which could cause significant damage or destruction to homes and property.

A strong cold front is expected to bring wind gusts up to 100 kilometres per hour across south-west WA from late in the morning through to early Thursday morning, but isolated gusts may exceed 125kph.

Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Mandurah, Manjimup, Margaret River, Mount Barker, Perth, Harvey, Lancelin, Walpole and Yanchep.
