We've just had a ripper Thunder Storm go over Perth,
It's raining lightly at present but at least the storm has passed,
The present temp is only 20.9 deg C but the humidity is 92%
Listening to the Fire Brigade transmissions, they are running around like chooks with their heads cut off,
call after calls are coming in about lightning strikes all over the place, One house hit, another with a shed fully involved in fire and numerous trees and grass fires burning everywhere.

In Cairns just a mild quiet night. Looks like cyclone Debbie will form on Sunday and cross around Cardwell. Poor buggers don't need more damage. The Reef desperately needs some cool water though. We are planning to leave Cairns around the 1st April headin inland so hopefully the rain shouldn't cause usany problems.

The slow-moving category three cyclone is about 300 kilometres off the coast and is expected to intensify into category four and cross south of Bowen before 10:00am on Tuesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has warned the storm will be the worst since Cyclone Yasi in 2011,and the Premier said it was "bigger than Marcia" the category five system that hit Queensland in 2015,

Storm only lasted about half an hour. Left plenty of debris though. After the summer storms we have had, and all the bark from the gum trees. It just kept peeling off. Never had so much come down. There can't be anymore surely. Luckily no branches though.
Will go probably go north in May. West is a looooong way. We have a baby due anytime now and the Grandmother is coming to stay. So, busy busy.
