Back from Adelaide and into our second day of rain squalls, very weclomed as a fair bit of rain falling. First decent rain for 6 months. Was a bit worried as by now all tanks should have been filled instead of half empty. Had some short fierce storms hit over the past few months but they did not deliver the required rain, all wind and bluster.

Cyclone headed well out into the Indian Ocean off Pilbara/Gascoyne coast and degenerated into a tropical low. It's still influencing weather along the central west coast about as far south as Mandurah, with a cloud stream coming off heading south-east. Mandurah has been right on the southern edge of this stream since yesterday and is only getting a sprinkle of rain occasionally. Something more serious is expected late today and tomorrow though, with possible rain and a t/storm. We'll believe it when we see it. We could sure use it! Bonus.. weather is nice and comfortable here with full mid-level cloud cover and a cool-ish sou' easter blowing. Temp on our patio at midday: 23C Luverly!

Cyclone warning for Tiwis, Darwin on watch as tropical low intensifies............
At 11:00am (ACST) the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued a cyclone watch for Point Stuart to the Western Australia border, including Darwin, meaning the onset of gales is expected within 48 hours, but not within 24 hours, in those areas.
Regional director of BOM NT, Todd Smith, said he was expecting heavy rain to pick up from Sunday morning in Darwin, or possibly overnight on Saturday.
"People need to be careful if they're in coastal areas.
Should this Tropical Low develop into a Cyclone, and follow the predicted path, Perth could be in for some more flooding.......
At 11:00am CST the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said the category one Cyclone Blanche, located in the Timor Sea, was still strengthening.
"The system is expected to continue tracking to the southwest and intensify further, crossing the north Kimberley coast later on Monday as a category 2 system,"
