After you have uploaded the picture, just tell the program to remove it again, the actual pic will remain but the reference to it will not.

Another alternative, locate the picture file, right click on it and select "Rename". You can rename the file to any name you want. e.g. Who is this 4.jpg

brian - I went to "edit post" and "removed" the insert (small pic) - I can't see any name on the one on the screen now - can you?
BG - will try your method with another pic.

Gday...
However Jules - despite the 'attached' photo now gone, and the File Name not obvious, if you right-click on the photo 'inserted' into the body of the thread, the File Name (Gary Cooper) still remains.
When you locate the photo you want to use, simply Copy it, paste it to your HDD (or desktop), then rename it "Something you choose" and save. Then upload that one.
Cheers - John

That's interesting John, I haven't right clicked on them before, so just tried it. No name appears to me when I right click, but it does if I just hover the mouse over the pic.
Same happens on the pic of Mrs. Brown, and on the others, but they have been renamed as you said.
Glad that I was getting my pics from elsewhere as I was totally unaware of the name appearing on the pic itself

I didn't bother to change the name on Mrs. Brown as I used that photo to show the character Brendon O'Carroll played.

I assume the answer is right. Waiting on Jules to confirm...
His real name is Robin Smith, but everyone knew him as Crispian St.Peters
Get out of it Jules, he had a few hits. Probably the best of them was this one"You were on my mind". Click and listen.
