I would like to congratulate and thank Dougwe for his incredible contribution to our forum. He has shared an amazing 10,000 positive, cheerful and friendly posts with members and guests alike. He is always ready with a welcoming message to new members and his catchphrase ‘enjoy here and out in the playground’ encourages us all to get the most out of our time wherever we are. We feel it is only fitting to provide him with the title ‘Chief of Cheer’. As a token of our appreciation, we will send Dougwe a grey nomads polo shirt embroidered with the grey nomads logo. We hope he will enjoy wearing it and keep encouraging everyone to ‘Enjoy here and out in the playground’ Here’s to the next 10,000!!

Through his posts we who have never met Doug personally feel we know him like a mate from way back it seem that Doug has a very large supply of happy pills and this is apparent in all his posts
Congratulations Doug
I seem to recall reading of what life has thrown at Doug in the last few years and yet he gets up every day full of good cheer and a passion to help his fellow man and woman good on ya mate may you be granted good health, fun times and a clear road in front of you.
And kudos to Cindy for her recognition of Dougs contributions on this forum

Hey thank you Cindy for recognizing Doug as the Chief of Cheer. I would say that most of us who know Doug personally or via this web site would be the first to totally agree with you. Doug has in a large sense given this site a character that has gone a long way to helping it to be what it is today. So Doug from both of us congratulations for the very well deserved title that has been awarded to you. A great role model.
very best regards
Brian and Cheryl.

Congrats Doug, you certainly brightened up the time we shared recently in Tsv, however not sure a pink shirt will suit your colouring, perhaps the grey one that Cindy is sending you will suit you better.

I posted this elsewhere but decided to repost it here as well to save typing, yeh I know, lazy bugga.
A big thankyou to Cindy as well for my new title and very kind words. I really appreciate it.
Thankyou so much to everyone, it has been a great journey so far and a shock to achieve so many posts. Counting posts was never a real interest of mine but friends from here pointed out to me not all that long ago I was " getting up there".
When I first joined this great forum I didn't know much about caravans or towing one and absolutely nothing about Solar Power or 12v power, gee, I didn't even know what a Anderson plug was. Thanks to fellow forumites, one in particular, yes Brian, you my friend, I have set up Solar Panels to my first little moblie home, the trusted Avan Camper and even did a full rewire of the crappy 12v cable to better quality cable.
All that knowledge I learnt from people here put me in a good position for when I ordered my current home on wheels that I travel with behind my Tug and love both.
I have met many forum members along my journey so far and made some life long friends that I keep in regular contact with. I even fell in love with someone from here but with great regret it didn't work out but we are both still here but travelling our own ways and enjoying the playground and life.
Now I here some ask about "The Twins" Well they are mighty fine thankyou for asking. I will let them know you asked about them. They are still travelling with me and are currently camped down at "The" Beach here in Townsville. I got sick of taking them there every day so set up a tent in the bushes for them and struck a deal with the ranger to keep an eye on them. I'm sure he doesn't find that hard at all. For those that don't know about the twins, they are two young American Indian girls that travel with me. Very lovely girls. By the way, T2 finally came back from emptying the toilet canister. I am unable to post a pic of them but they are as lovely as ever.
Thankyou all again for the kind words.
Let the games continue.
