How,
Dave, it will go that quick you won't know where you are. I have just spent all weekend getting rid of "stuff" and taking to the tip. Last load about to go this morning.
I think I will be sent to the naughty room though as I have been working way out of GN working hours (10.00am - 12.00pm with 1 hour break). Apart from some sleep over night it's been work. The closest I got to GN hours was a few get the breath breaks.
Good luck mate, I hope we can meet up in the playground and share a red OR TWO.

I also am well on the way. My daughter and son in law have been here and garage shelves and cupboards have gone. Had mice in the garage so a bit of stuff ruined and a skip is coming to get rid of the "STUFF" at the weekend. The wall units inside will be gone by the end of the week, with the few treasure's I have managed to save will be boxed. And then next week the unit is officially on the market and here's hoping. I don't EVER want to do this again. I am cured from shopping and thinking yep I need that, I will just remember this week......
The local charities have done well, so I am happy about that, they can become someone elses treasure's

It has been great to see on this and other posts how many of us are doing similar things, but mostly getting rid of the STUFF we have accumulated over many years. I am not sure the younger generations will have the amount of things we / I have hung on to, maybe I should have moved more often. I think there will be another cull when I eventually get into the Granny Flat and what does not fit out of sight will go.....so the children tell me lol lol, which is what I need to make it happen.
barina i am very lucky my two sons are behind me all the way. they have told me i should have done it 10 years ago, i had a business to run. now retired we can do what we want.
and yes i see on the news about ding dong. good on her

Good on you Glenelg and Dougwe. It is the best feeling of complete freedom. My house is rented, and I live for the day when it will be sold. I keep putting out to the universe that my tennants will come through with their wish to purchase it in the future.
I am house sitting at present and this morning, it was three hours dusting, vaccing, and cleaning my bathroom and the downstairs powder room and laundry. OMG, give me Miss Daisy back where it is all done and dusted in no time flat. I never want another house, life on the road is so much more relaxing, healthy and beneficial in so many ways.
Nelly, you are so right about the "friends", I have met more people out here on the road that I would consider real friends than I ever did in my static life. I have a couple of best friends that will always be there but the others were only temporary. I love this community.
I will house sit again, I have rather enjoyed it, and it has allowed me to save money to do a few things to Miss Daisy without having to dip into my savings, and the road is calling and in three weeks I will be back out there again.
I am lucky also with having three sons that totally support my new lifestyle and keep me on my toes. Shopping and buying "stuff", no longer holds any interest to me, give me the bush, the sea, the rivers and a quiet place to comtemplate life and meeting new friends.
all done next stage now
Congrats. Bet that is a great feeling.
