Poll on what members think of a The Grey Nomads Pennant for use when parked up on campervan/motorhome/car or caravan/5th Wheeler etc.
Feel free to post also if you wish. Although we have GN stickers, they are not seen easily whereas a Pennant would be. If there is enough interest I will put it to Cindy to see if we can have the item stocked in GN store.

I like the idea. I have always been a pusher for GNs to display the stickers on our Caravans and MHs so we can easily identify ourselves on the road, in free camps, every where. Once you spot a sticker, or as is proposed, a Pennant, we know to go over and say G'day....

Like the idea as well. sometimes often see stickers as they are on rear of most and that is the end out of sight in parks etc

I like the sticker as well, but as has been pointed out it is mainly on the rear and not easily seen if the RV is facing the wrong way.
What I envisaged, in addition to the sticker, is that the GN Pennant could be mounted on the antenna of the vehicle or RV or some other high point when parked up camping where other GN's could see it a bit easier. No need to travel with it on, just use it in a static situation.
(PS: I will be away for a week from Monday so cannot make further comment etc after tomorrow until my return).

To cover that scenario, I have 3 stickers, one on the rear and one each side...

stickers are great but when a van is sold the new owner does not know what it is for and you will have to explain to the people you meet on the road, but the pennant idea is good, me thinks.
now who said Vic 41 was a DH, I think it was Dougwe who said that.
Maybe we could have a flag that somehow fits on top of a GN cap
Is voting compulsory?
Will I get fined for not voting?
Oh bugga I'm off to vote now.

Yep, we also like the idea of a pennant that can be seen when you are parked up.

We placed a Grey Nomad number plate on the rear bumper of our van, very easy to see at the moment my daughter and partner are heading for 4 nights Mildura and 3 nights Swan Hill with the plate on the back they are not grey nomads but enjoy borrowing the van for a cheap holiday with there two daughters.

The voting indicates we should go ahead with this idea, however it would be a decision for Cindy, as this is her site and business. We should be buying any pennant from Cindy the same way we buy stickers, caps, Tee-Shirts etc.

As per my first post, I did say that if there was enough interest I would refer this to Cindy and would expect if she approves of it and it is feasible the pennant would join other items in the GN shop.
I have since alerted Cindy to the thread by pm so she can keep an eye on it as I will be absent for a week come Monday.
Another item I would like to see is an A4 size sheet filled with business size (or similar) images of GN sticker and the website which could be cut up for GN's to hand to other campers on their travels.
I usually have to find a bit of paper or a pen (or the other person does) to write the site down for other travellers that show an interest in the site and forum, if I had something I could just hand them it would be handy

I have 2 things to say...
Firstly I will stay on topic and put my tuppence worth in:-
We are currently at Condoberlin on our way from Grafton to Mildura and after the travelers we have come across this trip I am not sure I would want them to know about the Gray Nomads.
We already have our stickers on the back of the M/H and the car we have in tow..
I think that is enough for those that are interested, IF we meet someone that we think would benefit from being a member we tell them about the website..
Secondly....
How come I have not been shown the mirror image of the tattoos..

Sounds like you have come across some not very friendly people Bob? Sure they are not wombat's?
As to the wombat's pic, only those with blood pressure meds can check it out.
I must admit, I looked the other way when he showed me though

I had a banner made and use to hang it from my awning
I measured about 3ft by 18 inches ( I hope you know what those measurements mean) and never had one comment so have not worried about hanging it any more.
It just gave my details and had my forum name and the name of the forum, it was no fancy copy as it would not have been possible for copy right reasons.
I think I even had it displayed at Green Lake when I was there.
