Yep, one week to go and I will be free, yahooooo. I'll get down to how many sleeps next. I said goodbye to the kids on one of the school buses I drive today as I will not drive that bus again.

we have solar and gennie, don't use the gennie that much, in fact our last 3 month trip we only used it 4 times, go with the solar and see how you go for a few weeks, if later down the track you need a gennie then get one then.
If we intend to use the gennie at a freebie we would get there real early (1400) and get ready to stay the night, first thing out of the tug is the gennie so that other campers who come later will know you maybe using a gennie.
You will need to chain the gennie to your a frame or a very big tree

Welcome JB from me, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I know what you mean about "scared". I'm not sure if that's the right word in my case, maybe a bit anxious or nervous perhaps. I too am Solo. I think when travelling around and you meet up with people you are not solo at the time.
I don't have a dog so I am solo while driving I spose. Not sure about wombat on the dash, now that would be scary.

Just to explain, I do not intend to travel full time at this stage anyway. The only "Plan" that is not really a "Plan" is to head of into the playground and come back home when I feel like it then head of again when I feel like it. That may change though at any time. I am in the process of checking out Solar Power for my Avan Camper OR a Honda Generator, I am waiting for the Sandown Leisure fest in a couple of weeks so I can hopefully see/hear both. Just got a small Inverter to power up Laptop and TV, all tested now and all work well, just need to keep the battery in the Camper and the Jump Starter I will use for TV etc charged.

Hi Ken, I am not sure yet as I don't want to plan or book anything at this stage. Wombat reckons to go out the driveway and turn left. I am thinking of heading up to Tocumwal for a start though.
I still have a few loose ends to tidy up yet including Solar Power or Generator for the Avan so it looks like late October before I head off anyway.
Have you returned home? If so, how was your trip? If not, how is it all going out there in the playground.

May I suggest that you get a little picture of a Wombat and put it on the dashboard ?? Then if you three start to Argue ?? Blame the Wombat ??
Remember we have a very Responsible Wombat on this Forum ??
If Anything goes wrong He Is Responsible.

Enjoy yourself in the playground, are you coming over to WA?
