Optus locked dongle
(Preview)
Thanks to those who answered my query. I tried to buy an unlocked dongle and was told there's no such thing. There's a fee for unlocking it. I have an old 4g Telstra one, no longer with them, could I use it with the amasym[?] in it? Where do I go from here?

Plumbers tape
(Preview)
It annoys me that people persist in using tape on caravan park taps before screwing their fittings and hose on . The rubber washer inside the fitting does the sealing and not the tape ! The easier the fitting screws on the better the seal !

Battery switch...On or Off?
(Preview)
Having just viewed the Jayco" Powering your van" clip on YouTube, they say to have your battery switch turned ON even when you are connected to the mains. Is that correct as I was under the impression that you only had batteries on when not using mains power. I don't want to overcharge the bat...

I was told by Telstra that I'd have to buy a modem at around $150, then there would be monthly costs. I wonder if there's a better way? How are others managing their internet?

Hint for applying silicon sealer in tight areas.

We think our back window has a small leak as the ledge above our bed has a small pool of water when it rains. To fix this I tried to run a bead of silicon as per normal, but the bead was to big and messy so I removed it all. To solve, we had a syringe that we used for vetenairy purposes. Much smaller hole for the sil...
