Dougewe and Dunmowin finally get to meet.

Dougwe and Dunmowin finally, after many attempts, missed attempts, almost drive pasts, managed (with the orchestration of Dougwe) to get together for a rather long lunch. Yesterday, Dougwe arrived, after being set up at nearby Glen Rowan for a few days. With him, came a tray of vanilla slices, a favourite of Mr D! Meanwhile Mrs D had made sweet corn chowder for lunch, along with some duck egg quiches. Only hiccup of the day was the 16 year old bread machine, mid bake, decided to send the entire electric panel into NO GO!

Mr D and Dougwe visited nearby Bright for a yummy fresh loaf of bread to replace the not so baked loaf, and we sat down to a lovely late morning and early afternoon food fest and catch up.

Great to finally meet you in person Doug, hope it does not take quite so long (7 years I believe) to meet again.

Yep, amazing who ya run into when ya take a wrong turn biggrin

Yes after many moons we finally met up and it was great to meet both Lorraine and John and spend time getting to know each other a little. Many topics discussed and a few world problems solved. As you do.

Thankyou so much for lunch and a great day Lorraine and John, glad you enjoyed 'those' slices too, they were very nice. It was a great day and I tell you that for free. I am glad I made the choice to stay in Kelly Country as I was able to meet you both and explore a great area.

OH! I checked out Nug Nug on the way back but didn't make it to Beechworth as I didn't realise the time was so late. No drama as I have been to that area before a few times anyway. I might end up at Nug Nug one day.

Double OH! Those snow covered mountains I wanted a pic of from the main road didn't happen, they were covered in fog or cloud by the time I left.

Thankyou again and,

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.
