recent road conditions for the area around Gregory Downs pub and Adels Grove

hi everyone

pretty new to this forum stuff but this is a great site to get info on any number of things and that is why I joined.

we are relatively new caravanners and my wife and I are going to do a trip up to Lawn Hill, Adels Grove in July 18.  Our van is not an offroader and so we will be camping in at Adels Grove.

Any up to date info on road conditions and about leaving the van at the Gregory Downs pub.  Any other info muchly appreciated

The road to Adels Grove is a wide gravel road, and in July there should be no issues at all taking any van in there, you definitely do not need an offroad van. Any van towed by any vehicle including 2wd driven at a reasonable speed can travel that road. Its a wonderful place, deserves several days at least.

According to Adels Grove Facebook post on 8 May:

we can also report that road works are currently underway with the road in from Gregory in fantastic condition and the road from Adels through Riversleigh currently being improved
