RE: Too much solar?

I give in ,you are only capable of understanding your own point of view,I thought the reason was explained in a way any person could understand ,We all hnow you are selling a good product ,what you cant understand is that that we are happy with what we have WE KNOW LITHIUM is a better system ,but were happy very very happy with what were running ,it does everything we need it too,even with the fabulous lithium set we would be still,running the same gear ,so to spend a lot of cash to buy something thats better is a nonsence.we dont need anything better you will never Terry understand this...

Cost a bloody fortune if I have mine removed and replaced with a new fiull lithium set..

cycle life mine does every thing I want for the last ten years.

end of life buy another battery or charger.

cost of replacement peanuts compared to lithium .

resale value who cares.

Whoa back there, I was questioning the "huge cost" statement yet you repeat it rather than actually answering it. If you don't want to back up what reasons you use the put down the switch to lithium batteries then that's fine, but don't attack to try and deflect the question, please.

Sorry if you see me questioning your position as an attack, it was not intended that way but more a clarification based on facts to support your part of the statement.
I can see no value in arguing with someone who has already made up their mind, the more you argue the more they dig their heals in to defend their position and the best outcome that can be achieved is to agree to disagree, so I'll save a whole heap of angst on both sides and withdraw to the stalemate position, I'm willing to agree to disagree smile

I know it will have disappointed many readers here who had just cooked up a new batch of popcorn, but as once said by someone more famous and a whole lot more entertaining, "Such is life" smile

Too much solar dries the skin. Age too quickly . Ok 15 / 15 min a day for vitamin D . Makes your grey hair bleach to silver . Or is it the other way around ? ? Lol

Now that Terry has promised to stay out of this thread, I can confess to sending him a potential customer not so long ago, because I think he needs to start from scratch. He called in to see Terry, but he was not there. He will go back at some time though and we will see what a new system from Terry costs then. smile
I hope he does not tell Terry who sent him, otherwise my reputation will become as bad as Terry's. biggrin biggrin

Cheers,

Peter

Hi
All this BS is what kills sites .
Stay on topic
Lith batteries were never OP enquires

How many watts for a deepcycle flooded or agm ?

Sarg
The fridge would be putting the single battery under a great deal of pressure also .
Highly suspect the fridge is using 30-70ah in 24hr period depends on usage and ambient temp.
200watt solar
Peak sun hours =5.5hr/day [ PSH is 100% sun outside of this is unreliable ]
amps produced 11amps
11a x 5.5hr = 60.5ah produced
losses in elec system
wiring ,controller type , not following sun exactly / panel position
60.5 ah - 20% = approx. 48ah

200w= 48ah
400w =96ah
fridge consumption 30-70ah

This is why increasing to over 400watts is a good idea and demonstrates why only 200w is ""just enough""

:lol: Margaret is the one who does the pricing because it is her business. Margaret doesn't torture people with high prices because that is not good for business, if she takes a dislike to you she will simply knock back the job so you have to go else where.

Anyway, as Swamp suggests, back to what ever the topic was, but I think it has been well and truly answered in the first few pages.
