Uluru to Alice Springs via Kings Canyon

As part of a bigger trek from Perth to Cairns, we will be heading up the Stuart Highway in mid-April with a view to taking in Uluru and Kings Canyon en route to the Alice. This would involve negotiating the Mereenie Loop road beyond Kings Canyon with a conventional caravan in tow. I understand that shouldn't be a problem for our 4WD tow vehicle without the van but need to be sure the road is van-friendly (depending on weather conditions, of course) before locking it in. Appreciate any guidance from those who might have done it recently. Cheers

Gday...

Gary, it may depend on your vehicle, your camper/caravan and your experience.

Thanks guys. I'll throw your feedback into the mix. With a conventional van in tow I will probably be inclined to err on the side of caution, but maybe make a final decision based on the observations of locals in Kings Canyon at the time. Cheers - Gary
