Good British Crime Mystery

Who likes a good British Crime Mystery. I do. Some good ones I've just watched.

Cuckoos Calling (3 part) by Robert Galbraith which is actually J K Rowling.
The Silkworm (2 part) also J K Rowling.

Rellik (6 part) - A murder mystery where the story goes in reverse. Very different and you have to concentrate and accept some things that you will find out about as the story goes backwards. Rellik is Killer in reverse.

The Night Manager (6 part) by John Le Carre. Hugh Laurie is the villain. Only watched 1 part so far but its got me in.

My favourite - British crime mystery, reading one on Kindle at the moment, but losing interest, the love interest seems to be more important than the crime - disappointing.

>The Night Manager (6 part) by John Le Carre

Read the book. Far superior to the TV adaptation which totally changed the plot, for the worse.

Also consider LeCarre's novel "The Constant Gardener", a hugely powerful story.

And:
A very engaging true account of an Aus prision escape and his following life in India:

Ben Aaronovitch is fun - ex Dr Who script writer:

One of the best crime writers and authors in Britain was P.D James. She died recently, well into her nineties and still churning them out up until a few years ago.

Beautifully written and you never knew "who done it" until the very end.
