Tag along Tent

Hi I have a 2013 18ft Millard pop top and at times may need to put up a extra bed. Looking at putting a tent that can attach to the awning. Any suggestions.? Thanks DC

Hi DC, welcome to the forum.

Probably the easiest way to attach anything to an awning these days is to get an annexe.
With the availability of sailcloth tracks almost anything can be made or sourced from the more reputable canvas people.
I have even seen a guy with a small tent erected under his rolled out awning that he used for his grandkids when they wanted to go with their grandparents. This is a very cheap way to go and you dont have to carry the annexe (tent) if you dont need it.

Oz tents make a stand alone tent that can be attached to the caravan or car whichever !!
also there are a few other brands out there, there is a program on Tv called "The off road Adventure show"
at 11.55am on channel WIN
have a look they show one every time.

We've seen a few swags under caravan awnings.

Oztent have the Oztent Caravan Connector to allow you to attach one of their tents to the top of your van. This would make the unit into a breeze way annex. This may solve your problem.

We have an ostentatious which our daughter sleeps in when she travels with us.
An added extra is the attachable sail track adaptor.
We have attached this to the tent awning then to the caravan and for short stop this suffices giving a small roof area as well
Also it fitted neatly into the end gap of the awning to make like an end wall, with the sail track attaching into the end spreader. Again, the tent awning giving more under cover space. We also have a side wall for the tent.
When freedom camping, it made for a large usable are.
When very cold the tent also fitted neatly under van awning giving a bit more protection from the cold. (This was before purchased fly etc.)

Please explain. I can not find what you say you have by searching - including on the Oztent site. A link to the item would assist.

Apologies for the typoooo

When we purchased ours, we described what we were after and were sold - an attachment for a sail track.....

It is called the caravan connector - easy to find on the oztent site - which is the picture that you have posted
