Thinking about installing a redarc pro elite myself , it looks fairly straight fwd , any one else done it themselves that can proffer any useful info. I have been quoted $600 and $700 to do it

If the $600 includes cost of Red Arc controller - I would jump on that.

Is $360 labour a great deal or something? :-/ http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/282063091741

If you are suitably skilled at removing interior trims, can join wires in a tradesman-like fashion, appreciate cable and circuit protection... go for it.

Shop around for a price to have it installed. I got a price to buy and install for almost half the price you were given.

Someone who fits brake controllers does not purchase the components from Evilbay. They get them from local suppliers where warranty service is guaranteed.

Ultimately warranty is carried by Redarc... however warranty support is often very efficient from online sellers. Keep supporting the old model if you wish.

Well yes I have installed my own "Tow-Pro" unit, and perhaps I could give some hints if I knew the vehicle it was to be installed in was the same as mine, BT50/Ranger.
