Who is getting the rain?

In Ballarat we got 15mm in the 24 hours to 9am yesterday and 8mm in the 24 hours to 9am today. Not a lot really.

Very little in our area of SA, about 8mm over couple of days.

I imagine the local grain growers are less than impressed, harvest just getting into gear.

I got 33mm here yesterday - a little south of Melbourne.

Mount Beauty received 130mm

The Strathbogie area was provided with around 200mm!

The above in the 24 hours Fri 9am to Sat 9am

A little over 4 " here in Nrth Vic, nothings as bad as the Nrth East. No doubt our rivers will be rising over the next few days. Looks like the worst of it is over for us. I wish anyone affected all the best, stay out of floodwater & stay safe please.

45 mm here in Ballarat since it started a couple of days ago.

All over now other than some gusty winds, not unusual winds for Ballarat.no

Aussie Paul. smile

Paul.

The rain snuck up on us from the north-east so watching the rain from the West as is normal was a waste of time.

Just tipped out 14mm from the 24 hours to 9 am this morning. That's only about 37mm (1.5"") over there days and about a fraction of what we were supposed to get. Better being prepared than sorry. I'm guessing all the creeks at the south end of town where all the water actually runs may may be flowing rather well.

Total of 50+mm in my gauge for the 3 day event on the Mornington Peninsula. Nothing spectacular.

Update for the rain around our area, after the first lot on friday, nothing much grand total of 85mm.
The water tanks 3/4 full, all the dams full and overflow into the creek, so we can't grumble.
Pomme.

First sunny day and I'll be able to watch my grass grow. Just a good dose of ground soaking, much needed rain here. Last week I was picking very dry strawberries. This mornings lot are brilliant.
