Hi All, We recently bought a double water filter for the van. Although, we usually find water in caravan parks is good. How necessary do you think these are and what price? We bought one at the Toowoomba Caravan Show couple of weeks ago and it was quite expensive and so are the replacement filters.... Just wonderin' Jay-Jay
We use a double filter and purchase the filters on ebay - not so expensive. I change the filters about once a year or if going on an extended trip.
I use it when filling up the tanks when not at our house or when in cvan parks - just to ensure we don't have any reactions to water quality changes!
To stop dust etc getting in when not connected, I have 2 snap lock ends with their ends full of a non toxic filler.

It's better to drink the unfiltered drinkable water available on your travels. It does wonders for your gut flora. We can't understand people that have a water fetish?
Our ancestors weren't that precious & some of them lived to 100 years of age. We've recently been drinking Great Artesian Basin bore water in Outback QLD that has a strong sulphur taint.
You get used to it. Enjoy!

We use a BEST filter to remove chlorine and bugs, depending on water source, as we have only tank water at home so the chlorine in town water stinks and effects our skin.
We have a special carbon assisted filter on the drinking water tap.
I also bought a BEST. www.bes****erfilters.com.au You can actually flush it backwards. You'd be surprised how much muck comes out when you are filling up from a lake or river. Have a small pump to force water thru filter. Had it two years and haven't been sick yet. We have bottled water (purchased or brought from home) as a backup for drinking if we are not happy with the local water.
No idea why the **** appeared i.l.o. tfilt

I just use an inline filter when filling tank, and then only if we're filling at home in Adelaide. Water in all the other states is fine, just this Adelaide stuff tastes horrid. Glad I don't drink beer, I've heard the SA brewers use Adelaide water, that's a crime!
Best Filter here. Have used one for several years. We use it to fill our tanks and that's all. We have a filter for drinking water in our new van, but in reality we have decided it is unnecessary for us.
Inline filter filling tank . Then two fine filters, one is mainly carbon for the tast ., Much finer micron than filler filter . Flow rate is much less . I find if i fill a few days before leaving at home . The chlorine deminishers a little ..
