Thanks Cupie, My first night in Tassie I nearly froze to death, even though the people I bought the van from kitted me out with a Douna, pillows. I soon worked out how to work the Diesel heater (they are fantastic).
I will the toilet worked out in the next few days before going to Temora for a housesitting job.
the toilet may not have a separate water tank - in our last Jayco the water drew from the main water tank
That's a step backwards. With a separate toilet flushing tank it would be possible to use river water or the like rather than waste drinking water flushing the loo.

Great - glad you got your van - so do you not have a hump on the roof? Ours is a four berth - 2 x double beds, one in the hump, which we use for storage.
Our hot water service has a switch in the cupboard near the fridge alcove - says HEAT. The heater tank we have holds about 14 litres, enough for two of us to shower easily.
Our loo has a separate place for the "flush" water - inside the door where the cassette is kept, ours stopped working, so we haven't bothered with it, just a spray of water from a spray bottle with some eaucy in it.
Have some friends live in Temora - lovely couple - Elaine and Rob Costello - he has a fair bit to do with the airfield out there.

Hi Jules, No mine is the 20ft Jayco, still has the hump over cab but is all storage. Double bed down back of cab.
Might have to use the spray bottle until I work it out.
Temora snows in winter I think but coming into spring now. I am going just out of Temora on a 500 acre farm, looking after some horses and making sure the cattle have water. I have ridden horses twice and been thrown twice -ouch, broken eye socket, broken arm and hurt pride.
Helen - if you go to the air museum, and see a guy called Bob Costello there, that is the friends we were talking about - say g'day from me and Billy, enjoy your new van.

Glad it all worked out for you, Helen - I wouldn't be brave enough to make such a purchase over the internet. Hope we can have a proper get-together next time we meet! I'm currently at Sunbird with Jules & Billy.
Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe, That's how most things happen these days - via internet. I did start to question my motives but all worked out so far.
I'm off to Temora for a farm sit for about 4 weeks then come home and going to Greens after that for a look.
