Just to be different, a good news story.

I am 77 had a Triple Bypass in 2002, youngest brother also had a 5 times bypass in 2002 then an Aorta replacement in 2003, and the other brother has had 2 Stents and all but 9 inches of his Bowel removed. On top of all that bad news, our farther died of a heart attack on his 43rd birthday. Now bucking 78 my Cardiac ECG has given me a clean bill off health with no problems any where in the chest department.

YEHARRRRR, YEHOOOOOO Hear I go!!!!!!!!!!

Great to hear a "good news story" Aussie. So much doom and gloom around these days.

Aussie Paul. smile

I should have mentioned that when my Farther died of a heart attack on his birthday it was April 1953, I was 13 and Bex tablets fixed everything. People weren't as lucky as we are today with all the modern medical science.

Yes Aussie Paul I agree, and I love that photo of you with your little darlings. We had 3 boys, one drowned at 4 1/2 years, and the other 2 never produced and we would love to have grand kids to buy Xmas and birthday presents for, but that's life.

Good on you Aussie !!

I too got good news last week.....................

My GP looks at me with a smile....."If your BP stays this low we might have to wind back some of your medication"

....and then......."Your HbA1c (diabetes blood test) is normal. you diabetes might be reversing. Lets watch it."

My secret?

25 kg weight loss, more travel and walks.........and crochet.

Yeh Rosie I am in a similar boat, a couple of weeks ago I went to a different doctor and he looked at my last 2 Diabete tests and said "You haven't got diabetes any more". I went home and a couple of hours later  he rang me and said, "Stop taking the Diamicron straight away". WOW I thought our bodies deteriated with age, mine seems to be getting better!!!!!!!!Maybe Grandpas 96 isn't out of the question after all.

Yes it is always good to hear good news, concerning our health

Congratulations to Aussie, and Rosie

I recently had two cancerous growths removed, on my neck, and ear, area
Had the 17 stitches removed the other day
Doctor said that although the growths looked suspicious, they were not cancer

I have another on my back, to be removed next week
Hoping for the same outcome

Good luck Tony - I have had a few removed which turned out to be fine, but one was "pre" cancerous, tiny little pinhead size "thing" - ended up with 26 stitches, and the doctor - a big, tall, man - put his whole thumb in the hole he stitched up. Got it all though - watching a new one at the moment on my leg, if it looks any different in the next week or so, will head to the doctor.

And Rosie - forgot to say - good for you too - crochet hook keeps the bikkies out of your hands, doesn't it?
