Stop Unwanted Visitors

When there is no Stump pipes for your waste such as when you are House sitting etc. and instead of just letting the pipes lay about the ground I have found by putting a washing bag as a sock over ends if drain pipes and clamping it tight around the pipes,IMG_1490.JPG

I don't have to worry about snakes or any other visitors popping up in the van while having a shower etc. plus stops ants as well.

It also collects the rubbish that you put down the drains so leaving the area clean.

Pretty cool idea - you'd have to be careful with it because if it blocked full of food scraps then it would back up and flood the shower floor (lowest point in van).
Maybe a semi-loose fitting elastic band would allow the sock to release if full.

Regards

I use a plastic shopping bag tied to waste hose and spike with a fork, when time to move put into rubish bin.

We are staying in a rainforest house and yesterday I forgot to put the bag over the pipes after I moved them, only remembered when heard a scream from wife in shower, up the pipe came about 4 small green frogs and 2 stuck to her leg, she had no idea what had got her till I started laughing and pointing, she said that they were cold and slimy on her leg.
Seems I am in trouble again

Dave
Ps it was funny but....

I wonder if an old sock over my hose would work to keep those unwanted JWs away?

The old trick was to use panty hose/stocking legs, but who in our age group wears them nowdays?

I don't.

My home made filter to catch small food particles and stop unwanted visitors via the drain pipe, constructed from inch and a quarter pvc pipe and bits available from Bunnings all for less than $10 and it can be used right up to when it finally gets knocked off like the last one. easy to make and cheap. picture attached
