Hi all,

anyone know if the Satellite Phone Subsidy is still available, as I can't seem to find any info confirming current availability.

also what's new or hot re this subject

long time ago, you had to live outside landline range
Or. like a lot of yachties.
declare they lived aboard away from shore
a lot.
Nowadays ??.

I received the subsidy some years ago as an outback recreational traveller.
Being a remote resident was NEVER a requirement Macka.
I doubt it is still available now as costs have come down a lot.

Sorry Pete.

When we first came here 16 plus yrs ago.
4 or 5 houses in a dip surrounded by others were in a blind spot.
NO Telstra Reception Nor Teev. Zilch.

They took their time. but eventually
they were issued with sat phones by Telstra.
and Cable teev.

Soon as system covered them though. it was heyy hello.
