Yes people can do a search.  However newsgroups are a place where people help each other. It's better to give some extra info so people do not need to have to search to get a basic picture of the info. If there is that extra info then if members are interested to go further they can then decide if a search is in order.

Santa, I think you missed the point of Jules request.

Missed the point! not at all, I understood exactly what he was looking for, and I helped him with quite a bit of info re the site, along with a link containing a photo of the area.

As I said the Google search took me a few seconds and provided a wealth of information including GPS coordinates, hardly an onerous task.

The Newell doubles up with a few other highways as it pases thru N S W. Not unlike Kidman and Matilda which share names as they head north-south

Thanks PeterD - I know very well how to do a google search, but if the place was somewhere I wasn't interested in travelling to, I would not look it up. Being a traveller on prepaid mobile internet, we have to watch what we use, which a lot of people do not seem to understand.

Santa - thank you for the info you posted, interesting, but you must see that PeterD is right, just a general area - i.e. where is it near, the Newell is a bl.....dy long highway!
By the way - I am female, not male.
