Barmera

Have recently been to Barmera which I had heard was implimenting an alternative to the caravan park ie 4 nights at $5 a night on the Bruce Oval for self contained vehicles.  However on arrival we could see no signs or information so went to the council office and enquired.  This has not yet been passed by council however you can "Free Camp" round the lovely Lake Bonney.  This was grand and was sooooo much nicer than the oval

smilesmile  as can be seen by the attached  we did choose to site our van on the other side of the lake to the local caravan park as we didnt want to upset them or give cause for complaint.  We were only there for one night on our way through to Booleroo, Steam and Traction rally.  Had been told by the locals that it is a popular spot and was completely packed over the Easter weekend.
