i have the next size up but hopefully should work out the same, put your weber on lowest heat setting with pizza stone on top of plate.leave for 20 minutes then slide your pizza on to stone for 15 minutes. perfecto

HELP! What are we doing wrong? We bought the pizza stone for the Baby Q Webber plus the tin tray, pre-heated the stone for 20 minutes with the gas on high, put the thin crust, homemade pizza on it - tomato paste, chopped bacon, pineapple and cheese on a 2 tortilla wraps partially overlapped - cooked it for the recommended 20 minutes, and 40 minutes later it's still not cooked and the top is still not brown. The cheese has dried a little on top, but the bacon isn't cooked. Can anyone trouble shoot for us, please? It's still in there, and eventually we'll get our pizza, but it is disappointing when everyone says it cooks so quickly and easily. We must be doing something not quite right.

Did you put foil down then trivet with stone base on top of trivet to Pre-heat?

Hi Shell,

Thanks for replying. Yes, we did all that because that was what was in the instructions with the stone. It said to heat the stone on high, make the pizza on the tin tray and then put it on without turning the heat down, and cook with the lid down. That's what we did, and . . . an hour and 5 minutes later, it's cooked. I just went down and checked it!

Can I just report that after a few hiccups, we have now mastered the art of cooking a pizza in our Baby Q! 'What's so hard about doing that?', some are bound to ask. Yes, I had top tips from nomad members (get a pizza stone, foil the right way down, etc.) but to no avail - until the third go, when I decided to have a look at proceedings. Hubby had cooked the pizzas in the past, and had followed all instructions and tips faithfully, but the pizzas still weren't cooking in the stated time. When I had a look at the q, I got the surprise of my life to discover that hubby (without his glasses!) had inadvertently set it to the lowest temp setting . . . instead of the highest! No wonder our pizzas were taking so long to cook! Not anymore though - hubby has cooked two absolutely delicious ones since then (with his glasses on! ) and they only take about 20 - 25 minutes. Yum!
