Rest stop 60K North of Injune

S25.18144  E148.39496 .
North side of rest stop there is shelter and seats, track alongside  goes in 300+ meters to nice level camp area. Can't be seen from highway. Suitable for overnight stop only. This area is on the outer boundry of the Walleroo wilderness Retreat.

The station owner came to see if we were Ok, very interseting man.
In the old days the stock route from Nth Qld to Victoria ran thru his property, along the track was a cave that the drovers camped in,they placed their names and dates that they visited in bottles and then put on a shelf in the cave.
He is starting up a similar idea for the modern day traveller, there is a couple of empty bundy bottles in a hollow log at start of track, so if you do visit ,put your details in the bottle.

That good to know Last year Injune have now a camp for the miners with lots of demountable buildings no sites available the caretaker was at work I think in the mines ,a young man rang him and we were told to go down, the back we then plugged into the miners power box no problem with that, in the end three more vans tuned up and left
