SSD high temperatures
(Preview)
SSD run too hot & de-throttle so they do not over heat, great, but irritating at times. The other issue is if you can run them cooler they apparently last longer. I've added heatsinks & Noctura 40mm fan (all spare bits I had) to the SSD. It now run at a reasonable temperature. P.S. I can't stan...

Gas strut for esky (top opening fridge/freezer)
(Preview)
I was sick & tired of holding up the esky lid. I did later have a prop to hold it up, plus a few other solutions with Velcro which also worked well. They all actually were pretty good solutions. But thought there has to be a better way! Bought the shortest gas strut I could find for caravan cupboard do...

Tool roll
(Preview)
When making a pole holder, I made it in 2 sections using end caps glued together 400mm from one end. The long end is for grey water tube storage, the short end for a tool roll. Screw caps on each outer end with chain.

Have been looking (trying) at old CDs. I had made multiple copies & stored well. They are a few decades old. Put dozens of them in both PC & Apple computers to try to read them. Even bought a new CD drive. No luck, all unreadable. If you have any old writeable CDs, copy then to new media before it i...
