Nobbys Nuts-from over there somewhere
(Preview)
They are no longer Australian product. The back side of the packets says " Less than 10% Australian product " and they taste like it. Took them back to supermarket the other day. But somehow they dont appear to say where the product comes from. I thought that was part of the newish laws.

Damper Woes
(Preview)
Heading off real soon for most of the rest of the year so I thought I had better have a practice run making damper as strange enough, I have never made it before. Flour (self raising), water, salt and a bit of butter. It was moist enough, (possibly due to not cooked enough) but so crumbly that it fell to bits...

Got a new toy! An American Stainless Steel cream can cooker! Has an interesting history going back to 1880's when Nebraska cowboys used them. Has a vent in the lid for the steam. Works well! Using it on my Cobb BBQ.
